Devlog #3


Hello, everyone! Here's the third devlog, a bit delayed but packed with a lot of updates.

I initially planned to release pre-alpha v0.0.2 by the end of last month, but time flew by while I was deep into development. Fortunately, the game has progressed significantly and is really starting to take shape. There are so many new mechanics and improvements that I'm excited to share with you!

First, I want to mention that pre-alpha v0.0.2 is still under construction. I can't give an exact release date, but I can say it's getting very close. Although I hoped to release it last week, that wasn’t possible. I’ve been changing and adding so many mechanics to the game that progress has been a bit slower than expected. The reason is that I need to organize and test a lot of interconnected systems, and it’s crucial they work well together.

Before diving into what's coming, there’s another point I want to clarify: this version may have quite a few bugs. Honestly, I’m just one developer, and this is an ambitious project. It may not seem like it on the surface, but every menu you see has a script, every character has a class, you know, everything is built from scratch. Right now, I'm working on the foundations of the game. Implementing a mechanic is easy; I can do it in one day. For example, I fully implemented the save system today. But the point is, even toughtI built this save mechanic and it's functional, it’s not yet where I want it to be. I’d like players to have multiple save files to choose from, but currently, it only supports one. This is the case with many of the mechanics, they're functional but limited, just a small preview of what's to come.

With that said, here’s a list of all the new improvements and systems you’ll see in version v0.0.2:

CORE SYSTEMS:

  • Character Creation: You can now create your main character at the start of the adventure, choosing between male or female and customizing them as you like.
  • Room Assignment System: You can assign staff to the rooms you've built and manage the services provided in each one.
  • Sex Animation System: A very comprehensive animation system has been added, allowing for multiple positions and a variety of configuration options. This is one of the systems I’m quite proud of, though I plan to add even more to it in future updates. 




  • Dungeon System (in development): You’ll be able to aventure alone or with companions into a procedurally generated dungeon, descending through floors and encountering rewards and enemies. This system is still in progress, but it's one of the game’s core pillars.


  • Save System: A save system has been implemented, allowing you to continue your adventures or brothel management from where you left off.
  • Dialogue System: A fully functional dialogue system is now in place.
  • Brothel System: You can now interact with clients, offer services, and manage the brothel’s operations.
  • Sound Effects System: Sound effects for the interface and more have been added.

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Main Map Changed to 2D: Simplicity is better. After some thought, I changed the 3D map to a 2D one. I was spending too much time modeling assets, and aesthetically, it wasn’t satisfying. Players won’t spend much time in this area of the game anyway. I'd rather focus those resources on modeling the rooms and other specific places properly.
  • And many more improvements.
